1943 – 2016
Donald Lee Hager passed away on Sunday, Jan. 31, at his home in Longs, following an illness. He was 72.
Mr. Hager was born on June 29, 1943 in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Charles Hager of Elkton, MD. and Ada Meyer Hager of Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Survivors include his wife and caregiver of 32 years, Linda Gail Hager; his son, Rob Hager of Nottingham, Pennsylvania; adopted daughters, Chelsie Church of Longs and Ashley Vega of Newark, Deleware; step-son, Lawrence Church, Jr. of Myrtle Beach; step-daughters Lisa Frederick of Elkton, Maryland, Laverne Vandegrift of Conway, and Debbie Dean of North East, Maryland; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren;
In addition to his parents, Mr. Hager was predeceased by his sister, Shirley Brought of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; brothers, Robert Hager and Ronald Meyers of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; and a grandson.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
