John Henry Bruton: Loris

1938 – 2016

    John Henry Bruton of Loris died Thursday, Feb. 18 in Loris. He was 77.
    Born February 23, 1938 in Columbus County, he was the son of the late John Bruton and Margaret Smith Bruton.
    He is survived by his wife, Sallie Grainger Bruton of Loris; three sons, Johnny Dale Bruton of Green Sea, Donald Kim Bruton (Sharra) of Loris, Johnny Henry Bruton Jr. (Amanda) of North Myrtle Beach; three brothers, Garland Brooks Cole of Columbia, Robbie Waldon of Whiteville, Delean Waldon of Whiteville; two sisters, Jeanette Walden of Whiteville, Rose Mary Waldon of Lake Whillians; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
    Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22 in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, Tabor City, with burial following in Twin City Memorial Gardens, Loris.
