Bruce Wayne Thompkins: Tabor City

1951 – 2016

    Bruce Wayne Thompkins of  Tabor City died Sunday, Feb. 28 in the Duke University Hospital in Durham. He was 64.
    Born May 27, 1951, in Horry County, he was the son of the late Oscar Neal Tompkins and Lettie Mae Spivey Tompkins.
    He is survived by one sister, Shirley Thompkins Watts of Tabor City; and one brother, Eston Thompkins of Tabor City.
    In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Roy Lee Tompkins.
    Visitation was planned from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 1 in Inman Ward Funeral Home of Tabor City.
    Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 2 in Emerson Original Free Will Baptist Church, Tabor City, with burial following in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Tabor City.
