Eure Theodore “E.T.” Hinson: Clarendon

1940 – 2016

    Eure Theodore “E.T.” Hinson of Clarendon, age 75, died Monday, Feb. 29, in McLeod Loris hospital. He was 75.
    Born May 25, 1940 in Columbus County, he was the son of the late George Lacy Hinson and Mattie Mae Cribb Hinson.
    He is survived by his wife, Ila Faulk Cribb Hinson of Clarendon; a son, Barry Hinson of Clarendon; a brother, Gene Roger Hinson of Clarendon; three sisters, Janice Powell, Ruby Hinson, and Virgie McPherson, all of Clarendon; a stepson, William Earl Cribb of Tabor City; three stepdaughters, Vickie Edwards of Chadbourn, Dollie Elkins of Clarendon, and Yvonne Smith of Myrtle Beach; two grandchildren; eight step grandchildren; and 17 step great-grandchildren.
    In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Doris Mae Worley Hinson; three brothers, Woodrow Hinson, Elbert Hinson, and George “Junior” Hinson.
    Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, in Inman Ward Funeral Home, Tabor City.
    Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, in Beaverdam Original Freewill Baptist Church, Chadbourn, with burial following in Hinson Cemetery, Clarendon.
