Carrie Lorene Prince: Tabor City

Carrie Lorene Prince of Tabor City died Monday, Feb. 29, in Columbus Regional Healthcare, Whiteville. She was 85.
Born July 7, 1930 in Columbus County, she was the widow of Jennings Lowell Prince and the daughter of the late Daniel Cox and Addie Gore Cox.
She is survived by three sons, Markyl Prince, Winfred Prince, and Terry Leyndon Prince, all of Tabor City; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by seven brothers, Dupree Cox, Aubrey Cox, Dalton Cox, Carson Cox, Clement Cox, Lloyd Cox, Leroy Cox; and five sisters, Amanda Cox, Virgie Clubb, Loneta York, Reba Norris, Etta Cox.
Visitation was planned from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, in Inman Ward Funeral Home, Tabor City.
Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Thursday, March 3, in Sandy Plain Baptist Church, Tabor City. Burial followed in Old Zion Cemetery, Tabor City.
