Jackie Eugene “Gene” Spivey: Chadbourn

    Jackie Eugene “Gene” Spivey of Chadbourn died Tuesday, March 15, in his home. He was 51.
    Born March 1, 1965 in Thomasville, he was the son of Jackie Preston Spivey and Martha Nobles Spivey of Whiteville.
    In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Donna Sue Sellers Spivey of Chadbourn; one daughter, Kandace Spivey of Lumberton; two brothers, Randy Daryl Spivey of Tabor City, and Gregory Spivey of Cerro Gordo.
    Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 17 in Inman Ward Funeral Home of Tabor City.
    Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Friday, March 18 in Emerson Original Freewill Baptist Church, Tabor City, with burial following in Myrtle Green Cemetery, Tabor City.
