Clara Mae Stroud Lancaster: Green Sea

Clara Mae Stroud Lancaster of Norton Road, Green Sea, died Tuesday, April 5 in her home. She was 89.
Born Aug. 14, 1926 in Horry County, she was the daughter of the late John L. Stroud and Pinkie Blanton Stroud and the widow of Rudolph Lancaster.
She is survived by two daughters, Iris Lancaster Elliott of Green Sea, Wanda Lancaster Fowler (Mitchell) of Tabor City; four grandchildren, Andrea Elliott Rollins (Chris), Carmen Elliott Nunalee (Tommy), Tisha Fowler Duncan (Wendell), Jonathan Fowler (Dabriel); six great grandchildren, Jamie Rollins, Matthew Rollins, Luke Duncan, Lilly Duncan, Leighton Fowler, Levi Fowler.
She was a member of Cherry Grove Baptist Church and the Golden Girls Sunday School class. She loved to see things grow – her family and her garden.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her son, Nicky Lancaster; three brothers, Howard Stroud, Emerson Stroud, Braxton Stroud; and one sister: Ordet Shelley.
Visitation was planned from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, April 8 in Cherry Grove Baptist Church, Cerro Gordo.
Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Friday, April 8 in Cherry Grove Baptist Church, Cerro Gordo, with burial following in Cherry Grove Cemetery.
