Betty Ann Chestnut: Conway

1941 – 2016

    Betty Ann Chestnut of Conway passed away Sunday, April 10. She was 74.
    Mrs. Chestnut was born in Horry County, a daughter of the late Charles Monroe and Eva Lee Stevens.  
    She was a member of New Home Baptist Church #1 and worked at AVX for 30 years. Mrs. Chestnut was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved each and every one of her children, and that was her hobby, spending time with those she loved. When she told you she loved you, she meant it.   
    She was predeceased by five siblings; her husband, Homer Tyson Chestnut, Sr.; and one daughter, Teresa Chestnut.
    Survivors include her six children, Joann Williams of Conway, Tammy Todd of Conway, Betty Jean McClenny and her husband, Bobby of Loris, Tyson Chestnut, Jr., and his wife Sophia of Conway, Crystal Ward of Loris, and Johnny Chestnut and his wife Audreanna of Conway; 11 grandchildren, Eric, Ashley, Holly, Michelle, Bradley, Christopher, Zachary, Haley, Christian, Hunter, and Hanna; several great-grandchildren; many loving nephews and nieces; and two special friends, Eloise Sarvis and Lavern Gause.
    Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 12 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel.
    Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 13 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel with Rev. David Watts officiating, burial following in Stevens Cemetery.
