Maud Mildred Hughes Gore: Little River

1933 – 2016

    Maud Mildred Hughes Gore of Little River passed away Thursday, April 21 at Covenant Towers Nursing Home in Myrtle Beach following an illness. She was 83.
     Born on April 13, 1933 in Ash, she was the daughter of the late Wilton Vesper Hughes and the late Gertie Ann Register Hughes.
     Survivors include her husband, George Watson Gore of Little River; two daughters, Brenda Gore of Little River and Linda Gore-Webster of San Francisco, California and a granddaughter.
     In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gore was predeceased by her two brothers, Lucian K. Hughes and Guy A. Hughes and her two sisters, Euzina Prince and Victoria Smith.
     Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 24 at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Pastor Dennis Williams officiating. Committal services followed at Pleasant Plain Cemetery.
