Lois Pearl Fowler: Loris

1928 – 2016

     Lois Pearl Fowler of Loris passed away Monday, April 25. She was 87.
     Miss Fowler was born in Tabor City, a daughter of the late James Gordon Fowler and the late Carrie Cordelia Powell Fowler.
    She was a life-long homemaker and loving caregiver for her family throughout her lifetime. Miss Fowler was a life-long member of Dogwood Hill Baptist Church and was a humble servant of the Lord.
    In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one sister, Ann Burroughs; one nephew, Terry Elliott; one great-nephew, Madison Elliott; and one great-niece, Angie Elliott.
     Survivors include her sister, Lila Fowler Elliott; four nieces, Phyllis Elliott Elvington (Charles), Ruthann Swanson (Sam), Cindy Phillips (Bill), and Susan Gibson (Michael); four nephews, Greg Elliott (Cynthia), Tony Elliott (Joan), Trent Burroughs (Alison), and John Burroughs; fourteen great nieces and nephews; six great-great-nieces and nephews; one great-great-great nephew; her beloved aunt, Margaret Powell; and a very special caregiver, Jose Jaimes.
    Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Thursday, April 28, at Dogwood Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Floyd, Rev. Alvin Jackson, and Mrs. Phyllis Elvington officiating, entombment following in Twin City Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
    Family planned to receive friends during the hour prior to the service at Dogwood Hill Baptist Church.
