Lenore Hughes Shelley: Green Sea

1942 – 2016

    Lenore Hughes Shelley of Green Sea died Sunday, May 1 in her home. She was 74.
    Born May 4, 1942 in Horry County, she was the daughter of the late Galbert Hughes and Pauline Todd Hughes Henderson.
    She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Gene Shelley of Green Sea; mother-in-law, Melba Fowler Shelley of Loris; one son, Dennis (Debra) Brown of Loris; one sister, Phylis (Charles) Cooke of Loris; one grandson, Dennis Brown Jr. of Charlotte; a special friend she considered a grandson, Charles “Cobi” Williams of Loris; one granddaughter, Crystal (Nicklaus) Sprouse of Columbia; one great grandson, Tanner Sprouse; and several nieces and nephews.
    In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one brother, Kim Todd Hughes.
    A special thank you to the staff of Shepherd Care Hospice Nichols for their faithful service and loving care.
    Visitation was planned from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 3 in Inman Ward Funeral Home of Tabor City.
    Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 4 in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, Tabor City, with burial following in Twin City Memorial Gardens, Loris.
