Melissa Jay Fowler: Green Sea

1980 – 2016

     Melissa Jay Fowler of Green Sea died Thursday, May 12, in Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, Myrtle Beach. She was 35.
    Born November 12, 1980 in Marion County, she was the daughter of the late Ronald and Shelvia Jean Buffkin Fowler.
    She is survived by one daughter, Jayd Noel Fowler of Green Sea; one sister, Shelley Small of Green Sea; one nephew, Jordan Small of
Green Sea; two aunts, Linda Buffkin Sarvis of Tabor City, and Louise
Buffkin of Loris; and two cousins, Kiystal Lynn Mercure (Keith) of
North Myrtle Beach and Robert Wesley Rogers of Green Sea.
    In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her infant son, Mark Robert Fowler; one brother, Mark Edwin Small; and grandparents, Rob and Patsy Buffkin.
    Private services were held Thursday, May 19, in the Inman
Ward Funeral Home Chapel, Burial followed at Gapway Cemetery, Tabor City.
