Paul J. Brooks: Longs

1937 – 2016

    Paul J. Brooks of Longs passed away Monday, May 30. He was 79.
    Born in Webster Springs, West Virginia, he was a son of the late John F. and Ina A. Brooks.
    He was predeceased by his first wife, Arlene G. Brooks; four brothers, Lance Brooks, Lester Brooks, Clifford Brooks and Junior Brooks; and three sisters, Freda Baker, Beulah Cogar and Jean Lilly.
     Survivors include his wife, Lanell H. Brooks of Longs; one son, Mark Duane Brooks of Huron, Ohio; two daughters, Barbara Lynn Miller of Palm Coast, Florida and Jeannie Renee Copley of Longs; two step-sons, Frankie Tyler of Longs and Derrick Tyler of Aynor; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; a brother, Bacel Brooks of Cleveland, Ohio; and a sister, Ina Hall of Birmingham, Ohio.
     Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Friday, June 3, at Living Water Baptist Church with Rev. Lebron Crisp and Rev. John Goudelock officiating, burial following in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Longs.
