Daphine Lee Hilburn: Loris

1934 – 2016

    Daphine Lee Hilburn of Loris passed away Tuesday, June 21 at her home. She was 82.
    Mrs. Hilburn was born on Jan. 31, 1934 in Green Sea, daughter of the late Mr. Bob Kelly Lee and the late Mrs. Flora May Harrelson Lee. Mrs. Hilburn was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal Faith but will be most remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.
     Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Ancil Stacey Hilburn of the home; one son, Duwane Hilburn and wife, Robin of Myrtle Beach; two daughters, Kathy Nichols and husband, Charles of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin and Wanda Jean Hilburn of Brown Deer, Wisconsin; seven grandchildren, Danny Patterson of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, Tracey Hilburn of Loris, Reese Hilburn, Misty Hilburn, Bradley Hilburn and Chaz Elliott all of Milwaukee and Corrina Mae Dahlinger of Virginia; twelve loving great-grandchildren and her half-sister, Shelby Royals of North Carolina.
     In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hilburn was predeceased by her sister, Ernestine Hardee.
     Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 25 at Hardwick Memorial Chapel, Loris, with Rev. Dr. Tim Osment officiating. Committal services were to be private. Visitation was to be held from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service.
