Loris crash kills toddler, two more

By DEUCE NIVEN

Three Loris area residents, including a toddler, died in a violent head-on crash on Red Bluff Road Friday night, Horry County Deputy Coroner Darris Fowler and the South Carolina Highway Patrol reported.
At least one other person was taken to a hospital, Lance Cpl. Matt Southern of the South Carolina Highway Patrol said.
Those killed in the 9:54 p.m. crash at 4613 Red Bluff Road near Little Hall Lane were James Lawrence, 24, Lyla Lawrence, 3, and Victor Kelley, 59. “Mass trauma” resulted in all three deaths, Fowler said.
Troopers, including the SCHP’s special accident investigation team, were working to determine what lead to the collision, Southern said. No additional information was available early Saturday.
