Jimmy Clarkson

By DEUCE NIVEN

Former Horry County State Bank CEO, a founder of the Loris based bank, has been named to head the expansion of a Florence based bank into Horry County.
First Reliance Bank is moving to the Loris, Conway and North Myrtle Beach markets, with initial plans to open a loan production office.
Bank leaders are waiting for regulators to allow the loan production office in Loris, located at 348 Hwy 701 North, to open as a full service location.
That office opens Monday, a news release said, with operating hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, except Friday, with a 6 p.m. closing planned.
Clarkson has been named Market President for the three Horry County markets. He will be charged with growing the bank’s market share in the area between Tabor City, Conway and Myrtle Beach.
“Our Purpose has always been to make a difference in every life we touch. We look forward to making a difference in the Loris, Conway and North Myrtle Beach communities,” said First Reliant CEO Rick Saunders. “We are excited to have Jimmy Clarkson on our team as he is well known in those communities. We know he’ll provide exceptional service to businesses and consumers as he leads our growth and expansion efforts.”
