Ruby Luizer Hinson: Clarendon

1933 – 2016

    Ruby Luizer Hinson of Clarendon died Wednesday, July 13 in McLeod Loris hospital. She was 83.
    Born June 25, 1933 in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late George Lacy Hinson and Mattie Mae Cribb Hinson and the widow of Jason Rudolph “Jake” Hinson.
    She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Hinson Thompson of Clarendon; one brother, Gene Roger Hinson of Clarendon; two sisters, Janice Powell and Virgie McPherson, both of Clarendon; and one grandson.
    In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Eure Theodore “E.T. Hinson, Woodrow Hinson, Elbert Hinson, George “Junior” Hinson; and one sister, Mertis Hinson.
    Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 15 in Beaverdam Original Freewill Baptist Church in Chadbourn.
    Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, July 16 in Beaverdam Original Freewill Baptist Church, with burial following in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Tabor City.
