Joey Robert Floyd: Loris

1953 – 2016

    Joey Robert Floyd of Loris, passed away on Monday, Aug. 22 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center following an illness. He was 62.
    Born on Dec. 8, 1953 in Loris, he was the son of the late Grover Robert Floyd and the late Gracie Lee Gore Floyd.
    Mr. Floyd worked as a land surveyor with Mr. Jack Davis for many years and was of the Baptist faith.
     Survivors include his two sons, Joseph “J. D.” Floyd and wife, Becky of Tabor City, and John Floyd and wife, Hope of Loris; five loving grandchildren, Landon Drake Hewett and Jaelyn Hewett, both of Tabor City, Haley Floyd of Conway,  and J. Brayden Floyd and Shyla-Ann Floyd, both of Loris, and three special friends, Jason Causey, W. J. Grainger and Russell Allen.
     In addition to his parents, Mr. Floyd was predeceased by his sister, Cerian Susan Watts.
     Family planned to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28 at  the home of Diane Branton on Apple Valley Road in Loris.
