Rosie Mincey Hardee Barnhill: Loris

1935 – 2016

    Rosie Mincey Hardee Barnhill of Loris passed away Tuesday, Aug. 23, at McLeod Loris hospital following an illness. She was 81.
    Born on July 5, 1935 in Loris, she was the daughter of the late Fletcher Marion Mincey and the late Mary Frances Norris Mincey. Mrs. Barnhill was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
     Survivors include her two step-daughters, Debbie Lynn Page and husband Dale, of Bayboro and Karen Gore and husband Josh of Aynor; a sister, Eula M. Livingston of Loris; and two brothers, Donnie Mincey and his wife, Pat of Loris and F. M. Mincey of Charleston.
     In addition to her parents, Mrs. Barnhill was predeceased by her first husband, Daniel Dexter Hardee Jr.; her second husband, Thomas Clarence Barnhill Jr.; four brothers, Fletcher Clifton Mincey Sr., Bill Mincey, C. D. Mincey and Homer Mincey; and three sisters, Carlene Sarvis, Gladys Hewitt and Myrtle Blanton.
    Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Rev. Steve Nobles officiating. Committal services followed at Twin City Memorial Gardens.
