Columbus, Horry schools closing early for Hermine

    Public schools in Columbus and Horry counties will be closing early Friday as Hurricane Hermine, or her remnants, approach.
    Columbus County Schools will close at noon, Horry County Schools will dismiss three hours earlier than scheduled, statements from both districts said.
    Hermine is expected to bring heavy rain, potentially thunderstorms, and gusty winds.
