Gary Duval Fairfax: Mooresville

1943 – 2016

    Gary Duval Fairfax of Mooresville died Tuesday, Sept. 6, in Lake Norman Regional Medical Center, Mooresville. He was 73.
    Born May 16, 1943 in Columbus County, he was the son of the late Frank Fairfax and Ethel Blackwell Fairfax and the widower of Pearline Duncan Fairfax.
    He is survived by a son, Gary Devon Fairfax of Mooresville; a daughter, Rosa Denise Fairfax of Oak Island; two sisters, Pauline Dew and Shirley Lewis of Cerro Gordo; and three grandchildren.
    In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by one brother, Cecil Fairfax.
    Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, Tabor City, with burial following in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
    Family planned to receive friends during the hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
