Lowell E. Markins

    Lowell E. Markins fell asleep in death on Sept. 6 and is awaiting the Resurrection promised in the Bible book of John, Chapter 5, verses 28 and 29. He was 76.
    He was a faithful witness of Jehovah God, our Loving Father & Creator, serving Him in the Loris English Congregation in South Carolina.  Lowell was born in Peach Creek, WVA to Charles E. Markins & Louise Owens, who have preceded him in death.
    He is survived by his wife Karen Dennis Markins of Loris; children, Carolyn Sams of Loris, Lisa G. Shoffner of Greensboro, and Lowell E. Markins, II of Lake Wiley; two step-sons Johnathan R. Werner and Timothy A. Werner; his sister Sandy Hackney all of Canton, Ohio; three grandchildren;  three step-grandchildren;  nine great-grandchildren and several  nieces and nephews.  
    Lowell was also preceded in death by his sisters, Wilda Gilbert, Norma Curcio.
    A memorial service was planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17 at the Loris Congregation of Jehovah Witness.
    In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Jehovahs’ Winesss in Loris.
