Esther Nealy Byrd: Tabor City

1930 – 2016

    Esther Nealy Byrd of Tabor City died Friday, Sept. 16, in McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence. She was 86.
    Born April 21, 1930 in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late Burris Nealy and Eva Mae Norris Nealy, and the widow of Carl Byrd.
    She is survived by three sons, Tony Byrd, Terry Byrd, and Jerry Byrd, all of Tabor City; a brother, James Nealy; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
    In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Larry Carl Byrd.
    A graveside memorial service was planned for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Tabor City.
