Norma Jean Fowler: Whiteville

1937 – 2016

    Norma Jean Fowler of Whiteville died Monday Sept. 19, in her home. She was 79.
    Born July 23, 1937 in Horry County, she was the daughter of the late Ballard Pinkney Fowler and Norma Cox Fowler.
    She is survived by two sons, Frankie Fowler (Melodie) and Russell Fowler (Sandy) of Green Sea; a brother, William “Billy” Fowler of Tabor City; a sister, Frances Johnson of Nichols; four grandchildren, Brandi Benson, Austin Fowler, Zebeth Fowler, Jody Fowler; and two great grandchildren, Jobe Benson and Evan Benson.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Fowler; and husband, Benjamin Fowler.
    Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, in Inman Funeral Home, Tabor City.
    Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in George Fowler Cemetery, Tabor City.
