Edna Louise Long: Whiteville

1930 – 2016

    Edna Louise Long of Whiteville died Thursday, Oct. 27, in Liberty Commons Nursing Home, Whiteville. She was 86.
    Born July 17, 1930 in Sevierville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Pinkney Whaley and Anner Huskey Whaley and the widow of Herbert Graden Long.
    In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two sons, Gary Long and Wilbur Long; a brother, Roosevelt Whaley; and a sister, Miley Proffit.
    She is survived by one son, Ronnie Long (Kay) of Whiteville; one brother, Preston Whaley of Shallotte; two grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
    A graveside service was planned for 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, in McLamb Cemetery, Nakina.
