Ervin “Sam” Fowler: White Pine, Tenn.

1938 – 2016

    USAF MSGT (Retired) Ervin “Sam” Fowler of White Pine, Tennessee passed away suddenly on Thursday, Oct. 27 at his home. He was 78.
    Born July 30, 1938 to the late John (Pink) and Bertha Fowler, Sam was known as TallPine to some of his friends and was a member of Brazelton Lodge #190 F&AM in Dandridge, Tennessee, and a Vietnam Veteran.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, John (Pink) and Bertha Fowler, three brothers, J.P. Fowler, Jr., Wayne Fowler and Dale Fowler and one granddaughter, Rachel Wells.
    He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Gloria Fowler, daughters, Cindy Williams, Christy Wells and Cheri Pierce, nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Lois Fowler of Atlantic Beach, North Carolina, two brothers, Keith Fowler of Morehead City and Kent Fowler of Florida, also several nieces, nephews, friends and other family members.
    Funeral services were held at 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30 at Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine, Tennessee with the Rev. Darrell Chambers officiating. Military graveside interment was held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 31 in Hamblen Memory Gardens, Morristown, Tennessee.
