Vallie Wallace Shelley: Loris

1936 – 2016

    Vallie Wallace Shelley of Loris passed away Tuesday, Nov. 8 at his home following an illness. He was 80.
    Mr. Shelley was born on Jan. 12, 1936 in Green Sea, son of the late Gary G. Shelley and the late Ozelma Shelley.
     Mr. Shelley retired as a machinist with Hardee, Mfg. Co., and was of the Baptist faith.
     Survivors include his step-son, Randy Adams and wife, Teresa of Loris; step-daughter, Joy Adams Suggs and husband, Doug of Loris; brother, Pete Shelley of Florida; five step-grandchildren, Bradley Adams, Tommy Adams, Shane Suggs, Misty Suggs and Shaun Suggs; one step-great-grandchild, Nautica Suggs and many loving nieces and nephews.
     In addition to his parents, Mr. Shelley was predeceased by his wife, Doris Ruth Adams Shelley; his step-daughter, Rita Adams Suggs; his brother, Gary “Gee” Shelley and his sister, Janette Porter.
     Funeral services were held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 9 at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Rev. Mack Huston officiating. Committal services were private.
