Belle Bruton: Tabor City

1923 – 2016

    Belle Bruton of Tabor City, 93, died Wednesday, Dec. 7, at her daughter’s home. She was 93.
    She was born May 16, 1923 in Nakina, the daughter of the late Ballon and Ida Rhodes Watts and the widow of Harry Floyd Bruton, Sr.
    She was a member of Iron Hill Baptist Church.
    She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Ward of Tabor City; two sons, Ronnie Bruton of North Charleston, and Timmy Bruton of New Orleans, Louisiana; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
    In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one son, Harry Floyd Bruton, Jr.; and one daughter, Donnis Bruton McMahan.
    Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, Tabor City, with burial following in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Tabor City.
    Family planned to receive friends during the hour preceding the service in the chapel.
