Ezra Rabon: Longs

1939 – 2016

    Ezra Rabon passed away Tuesday, Dec. 6, at his home in Longs following an illness.
    Born April 2, 1939 in Conway, he was the son of the late Cleave Bertie Rabon and the late Lillian Jones Rabon Turner.
    Mr. Rabon served his country with courage, honor and distinction in the U.S. Army. Mr. Rabon worked in construction and with Dodson Pest Control until his retirement and was of the Baptist faith.
    Survivors include his wife, Frances Cecil Lilly Rabon of the home; one son, Michael Rabon and wife, Brandi of Loris; a daughter, Deborah Norris and husband, James of Raeford; step-daughter Barbara Martin of Virginia; five grandchildren, Eric Norris, Ashley Collins, April Norris Locklear and husband P.J., Tiffany Rabon Bullard and husband Brandon, and Logan Rabon; six great-grandchildren, Hayley Collins, Bryce Collins, Kenley Stevens, Blayden Bullard, Lincoln Locklear and Waylon Bullard; and his sister, Judy Whittmore and husband, John of Loris.
    In addition to his parents, Mr. Rabon was predeceased by his first wife, Mrs. Thelma Bernice Stevens Rabon.
    Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Reverend Mack Hutson and Reverend Lonnie Johnson officiating. Committal services followed at Cane Branch Cemetery.
