Shane Smith: Loris

1978 – 2016

    Shane Smith of Loris passed away Monday, Dec. 12. He was 38.
    Shane was born in Granbury, Texas, a son of Deborah Harris-Strait and the late Franklin Lavon Smith.
    In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his grandfathers, Edwood W. Cox and Leo Smith, Sr.
     Survivors include his mother, Deborah Harris-Strait of Loris; his step-father, Jim Strait of Loris; two brothers, Gabe Smithn and Eddy Cox, both of Loris; one sister, Michelle Williams of Mullins; several nieces and nephews; grandmothers, Claris Cox of Loris and Lucille Smith of Lake Waccamaw.
     A memorial service was planned for 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel with Rev. Mack Hutson officiating.
