Cicero Canady: Leland

1920 – 2015

    Cicero Canady of Leland died Tuesday, Dec. 13, in Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center, Whiteville. He was 96.
    He was the son of the late Vance Canady and Minnie Reynolds Canady and was preceded in death by his wife, Elka R. Canady . He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
    Survivors include his son, Jimmy Canady of Waverley, Mississippi; and a daughter, Charlene Canady Rice of Lincoln, California; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
    Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16, in McKenzie Mortuary, Whiteville.
    Entombment was planned for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, at Magnolia Park Cemetery in Warner Robbins, Georgia.
    Memorials may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center @ 206 Warrior Trail, Whiteville, N.C. 28472.
