John W. Everitt: Green Sea

1948 – 2016

    John W. Everitt of Green Sea passed away Thursday, Dec. 1 at McLeod Loris hospital following an illness. He was 68.
    Born on July 13, 1948 in Ellenville, New York, he was the son of the late Grant Everitt and the late Anne Mosher Everitt. Mr. Everitt served his country with courage, honor and distinction in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
     Survivors include his wife, Kathy Margaret Abplanalp Everitt of the home; two sons, Patrick Everitt of Youngsville, New York and Michael Everitt of Kenoza Lake, New York; two daughters, Candy Angle of West Lafayette, Ohio and Peggy Davis of Loris; 12 loving grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
     Memorial services at Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery in Liberty, New York will be held in the spring.
