Angeline “Ann” Dorsey Johnson: Loris

1933 – 2016

    Angeline “Ann” Dorsey Johnson of Loris passed away Saturday, Dec. 24, at her home. She was 83.
    Mrs. Johnson was born in Loris, a daughter of the late Joe Mann Dorsey, Sr. and the late Hattie Beulah Booth Dorsey.
    She was also predeceased by her husband, Archie E. “Slick” Johnson; three brothers, Thomas E. “Bud” Dorsey, Joe Mann Dorsey, Jr., and John Dorsey; three sisters, Genewood Dorsey, Louise Strickland, and Elizabeth Currence.
    Survivors include a son, Joe E. Johnson of Loris; a daughter, Mary Ann J. Adams of Loris,; a brother, Harold Dorsey of Loris; two sisters, Kathleen Thomas of Chantilly, Virginia and Wilma Craig of Marion; two granddaughters; and two great grandchildren.
    Graveside services were planned for 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, at Zoan United Methodist Church Cemetery with Reverend John Watts, Mr. Glenn Elliott, and Reverend Danny Banks officiating.
    Family planned to receive friends following the service in the cemetery.
