Ted Boyd, Sr.: Loris

1946 – 2016

    Ted Boyd, Sr. or Loris passed away Friday, Dec. 23, at Regency Hospital in Florence. He was 70.
    Mr. Boyd was born in Loris, a son of the late Robert G. Boyd and Vernice McDowell Boyd . He was a supervisor for Diamond International Tobacco Company and attended Loris First Baptist Church.
    Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Martha Cooper Boyd; his two children, Jennifer Boyd and Ted “Teddy” Boyd, Jr. of Loris; two brothers, Robert L. Boyd of Loris and Craig Boyd of Easley; and two grandchildren, Benjamin Matthew Boyd and Samarah Breton.
    Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, at Loris First Baptist Church with Rev. Wofford Boyd and Dr. Louis Venable officiating, burial following at Twin City Memorial Gardens.
    Family planned to receive friends during the hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall.
