Dezzie Small: Loris

1920 – 2016

    Dezzie Small of Loris passed away Thursday, Dec. 29. She was 96.
     Mrs. Small was born in Horry County a daughter of the late Dick and Blanche Grainger Soles
     She was predeceased by her husband Willie Douglas Small, five brothers, and two sisters.
     Survivors include two sons, Jerry Rhodes of Loris and Wayne Small of Tabor City; two daughters, Linda Brown of Green Sea and Brenda Britt of Tabor City; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and two sisters, Bernice Prince of Conway and Inez Norris of Tabor City, NC.
     Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 1, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel, with burial following in the Old Springfield Cemetery. 
    Family planned to receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
