Brrrr

Temperatures dipped a bit below projections in the Tabor-Loris Community overnight Sunday into Monday, with the First Bank thermometer in Tabor City showing 15 degrees before dawn.
In the Carolinas, the old joke goes, if you don’t like the weather, just wait a bit. Forecasts call for highs of about 40 today, well into the mid-70s by the end of the week.
Some snow was spotted in the area during the weekend, none of consequence, even though temperature forecasts proved generally accurate.
Frigid temperatures prompted school opening delays Monday for the Columbus County and Whiteville City schools, while students in Horry County were in class as regularly scheduled.
