Loris men charged in beach motel murder

Two Loris men are facing murder charges in a Myrtle Beach murder.
Larry Tranell Carter, 22 and Malik Allan Crawford, 19 both face charges of murder, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, kidnapping and armed robber in an early morning shooting Thursday at the Lazy G Motel on 27th Avenue North, Myrtle Beach Police Department spokesman Lt. Joey Crosby said.
Carter has also been charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime in connection with a Christmas Eve, 2016 shooting incident at Third Avenue Sports Bar and Grill.
Carter was taken into custody in Rock Hill, with assistance from the police department there and the State Law Enforcement Division (SLED), Causby said. He has been booked into the Myrtle Beach Jail.
Crawford was apprehended Tuesday in Conway with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, Myrtle Beach Police Department Gang Unit, South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, and the 15th Judicial Circuit Drug enforcement unit. He was booked at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center near Conway.
