UPDATE: Victim IDd in truck, car fatal crash

UPDATE: A Tabor City man died in this morning’s crash on NC 410, Columbus County Assistant Coroner William Hannah said.
Marquwes Mikal Gillard, 21, of Live Oak Street street died on the scene of the crash, Hannah said. Massive chest trauma was the cause of death, Hannah said.
Thursday morning
One man died in a collision with an empty gasoline tanker truck on NC 410 early Thursday.
Making next of kin notifications was taking time at mid-morning, Assistant Columbus County Coroner William Hannah said, with some family out-of-state.
Roseland Fire Chief Len Fipps said the crash took place before 5 a.m., just south of Old Cribbtown Road. Troopers from the North Carolina Highway Patrol were investigating.
