Frances Lucille Johnson Sarvis: Aynor
1930 – 2017
Frances Lucille “Lucy” Johnson Sarvis of Aynor passed away Friday, May 26, at McLeod Loris hospital. She was 86.
Born on July 23, 1930 in Loris, she was the daughter of the late Archie Cable Johnson and the late Nina Pearl Jackson Johnson.
Mrs. Sarvis worked as a nursing assistant for forty-four years at Conway Hospital and was a longtime active member of Bayboro Baptist Church.
She loved being with her family and friends. She never met a stranger and her heart was open for all. She was known by “Lucy.” She loved reading, sewing, playing Rummy Cube and yard sales. Lucy still loved to travel and her mind was still sharp and witty.
She will be dearly missed by all. Much thanks and gratitude to her long time friend of thirty-seven years, Myrtle Poston and family and her dog, Chloe.
Survivors include her three daughters, Donna Martin and husband, Dennis of Bayboro, Joan Gaillard and husband, Dave of Charleston, and Marsha Lynn Monteleone of North Myrtle Beach; two sons, Frankie and wife, Bonnie and Darryl all of Bayboro; eight grandchildren, Gina, Hollie and husband, Ben, Dennis, Heidi and husband, Wayne, Chris, Amy and husband, Adam, Clayton and wife, Heidi and Jonathon and wife, Tracy; 25 great-grandchildren, Joshua, Kaitlyn, Lauryn, Taylor, Buddy and wife, Brittney, Haley, Dayton, Avery, Austin, Briggs, Makayla, Addison, Hunter, Hallie, Giles, William, Ivy, Parker, Conner, Riley, Tanner, Hannah, Lily Grace, Kal, and Lani Kai; two great-great-grandchildren, Kylee Faye and Liam; two brothers, Boyd Johnson and wife, Betty of Gurley, and Clint Johnson and wife, Linda of Rehoboth; and one sister, Ellen Willis of Fayetteville.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sarvis was predeceased by her husband, John Dock Sarvis, daughter Brenda Sarvis Rieckenberg, brother, Archie “Slick” Johnson and one sister Carolyn Turner.
Memorial services were planned for 2 p.m. Sunday, June 4, at Bayboro Baptist Church with Pastor Paul Alford officiating.
Family planned to receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of service at the church.
