James William Knight III, Tabor City

1942 – 2017

     James William Knight III of Tabor City, age 74, died Monday, July 31, in his home. He was 74.

     Born Sept. 22, 1942 in San Francisco, California, he was the son of the late James William Knight II and Etta Greenhill Knight.

     He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Mary Blanche Davis Knight of Tabor City; a step daughter, Deborah Anne Knight of Myrtle Beach; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

     In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, James William Knight IV.

     A Veteran of the United States Navy, he was also a member of Tabor Lodge 563, VFW Post 483 in Nashua, New Hampshire and attended American Legion Post 506 of Tabor City.

     A memorial service was planned for 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 7, in Inman Ward Funeral Home,Tabor City.
