William Rudolph Fisher: Tabor City

1926 – 2017

     William Rudolph “Billy” Fisher of Tabor City died Sunday, Sept. 24, in Shoreland Health Care Center, Whiteville. He was 90.

     Born Oct. 4, 1926 in Columbus County, he was the son of the late Willie John Fisher, Sr. and Marbrey Pridgen Fisher.

     He is survived by his wife, Silbray Nobles Fisher of Tabor City; two sons, Jonathan Fisher of Green Sea and Terry Fisher of Whiteville; a daughter, Vickie Worley of Whiteville; eight grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

     He was also predeceased by one daughter, Vanessa Jones; three brothers, Morris Fisher, Willie John Fisher, Jr., Harold Fisher; and a sister, Irma Jean Barnes.

     Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, burial following in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Tabor City.

     Visitation was planned for the hour prior to the service in the chapel.
