Ken O. Fowler: Loris
1957 – 2017
Ken O. Fowler of Loris passed away Sunday, Oct. 1. He was 60.
Mr. Fowler was born at Itazuki Air Base, Japan, the youngest son of Harvey Brooks Fowler and the late Dorothy Louise Fowler.
He was a member of Loris First Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder and was on various committees during the building of the new church. He was Project Manager at Mancill Inc.
Mr. Fowler was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother. He was a 1976 graduate of Tabor City High School.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Hilda B. Fowler of Loris; his father, Harvey Brooks Fowler and his stepmother, Alice Mae Fowler of Tabor City; two sons, Stephen Thompkins (Rhonda) of Aynor and Chad Thompkins of Longs; one brother, Ronnie B. Fowler (Lara V.) of Tabor City; one sister, Donna B. Alioto (Blake) of Tabor City; four grandchildren, Chelsea Thompkins (Nick), Hunter Thompkins (Cierra), Madison Thompkins, and Matthew Thompkins; two great-grandchildren, Kylie Avila and Jaxon Thompkins; two loving sisters-in-law, Jane Johnson and Betty Norman; and many special nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, at Loris First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. Tim Osment and Rev. Darrell Johnson officiating, with visitation following the service.
