Paul “Pa Paul” McDowell: Loris

1926 – 2017

    Paul “Pa Paul” McDowell of Loris passed away Tuesday, Oct. 3. He was 91.

     Mr. McDowell was born in Loris, a son of the late Joseph and Ida Elizabeth McDowell.

     Mr. McDowell was predeceased by five brothers, Lawrence, Ralph, Worth, Murrell, and J. F. McDowell.

     Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Hilda D. McDowell of Loris; two daughters, Paulette Brinson and Delois Aiken, both of Loris; and five grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

     Visitation was planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel.

     Funeral services were planned for 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel with Rev. Tyler Caines and Rev. Ragsdale Allsbrook officiating, entombment following in Twin City Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

     Memorials may be made to Beulah Baptist Church, 2651 Highway 66, Loris, SC 29569.
