Elbert Bailey Smith: Loris
1958 – 2017
Elbert Bailey Smith passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 24, at his home in Loris, following an illness. He was 59.
Born Oct. 21, 1958, in Winter Haven, Florida, he was the son of Mrs. Marie Causey Smith and the late Mr. Elbert Monroe Smith.
Mr. Smith was an avid outdoorsman who loved both hunting and fishing. He worked with Guaranteed Supply Construction Company and was a longtime member of Macedonia Baptist Church.
Survivors, including his mother of Loris, are his two daughters, Tabatha Gail Tullis and husband, Chris of Loris and Courtney Boyce and husband John D. of Jackson, Tennessee; his sister, Judy G. Sedillo and husband, Frank of Loris; and eight grandchildren, Bradley Peal, Kyal Peal, Vivian Tullis, Edward Tullis, Loralei Thompson, Christopher Tullis, Jr., Dewayne Tullis and Henry Boyce.
Funeral services were planned for 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28 at Macedonia Baptist Church, Pastor Ragsdale Allsbrook and Rev. Bill Thompson officiating. Committal services were to follow at Holly Hill Cemetery.
Family planned to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, at Hardwick Funeral Home, Loris.
