Three people, including two children, were struck by gunfire in a drive-by shooting on Miller Road near Tabor City Thursday night.
Most seriously injured was an 11-year-old girl, “multiple times” as gunfire struck the home at 992 Miller Road before 9 p.m. Thursday, Columbus County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Michelle Tatum said Friday.
At least six people were in the home, including Anthony Kinlaw, 30, his father Michael Spearman, 54, a woman not completely identified in the incomplete sheriff’s report, the young female victim and two boys, ages 6 and 8, Tatum said.
Kinlaw was shot in the leg, one of the young boys was “grazed by a bullet,” Tatum said.
All three struck by gunfire were transported to hospitals for medical care, Kinlaw and the girl in serious condition, though Tatum said she did not know if their injuries were life threatening.
Deputies have no suspect information, and continue to investigate, Tatum said.
