Mary Alice Boyd Alioto: Clarendon

1937 – 2017

     Mary Alice Boyd Alioto of Clarendon died Friday, Nov. 17, in Columbus Regional Healthcare, Whiteville. She was 80.

     Born in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Eva Norris Boyd.

     She is survived by her husband, Nicholas ‘Nick’ Alioto; two sons, Charles Graham of Clarendon, and Nicholas Blake Alioto of Tabor City; a daughter, Phyllis Edwards of Clarendon; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

     In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter: Kitty Jo Hayes; three brothers, AC Boyd, WB Boyd and Wayne Boyd; five sisters, Clara Boyd, Elouise B. Grimsley, Daphne Boyd, Hilda Simmons and Edith Buffkin.

     Visitation was planned from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19, in Inman Funeral Home, Tabor City.

     Graveside services were planned for 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 20, in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Tabor City.
