Mary “Frances” Watts: Loris
1941- 2017
Mary “Frances” Watts of Loris, wife of the late D.J. Watts, passed away Friday, Nov. 17, at her residence. She was 76.
Mrs. Watts was born April 7, 1941 in Conway, a daughter of the late Berklin Raudie and Mary Hughes Gause.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by; her four brothers, H.R. Gause, James D. Gause, Bobby Gause, and Kenneth Joe Gause; her two sisters, Estaline Gause Rheuark and Barbara Ann Gause.
Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Watts was employed for 45 years with CHF Industries in various capacities. She was a faithful member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church having attended for many, many years. Mrs. Watts enjoyed spending time in her yard , especially working in the garden and with her flowers.
Survivors include her children, Teresa Clardy and husband, John, of Loris, Darry Watts and wife, Karen, of Conway; her grandchildren, Abby Clardy and Josh Clardy both of Loris, Jamie Clardy of Columbia, Drew Watts and wife, Meghan, of Hockessin, Deleware, Dalton Watts of Conway; her great grandchildren, Madison and Makayla Watts both of Hockessin, Deleware; her special nieces, Debra Godwin and Linda Dew; and her sisters-in-law, Norma Jean Gause and Melissa Gause.
Family planned to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel.
A funeral service was planned for 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Mack Hutson officiating, burial following in the church cemetery.
