Winston Leroy Mishoe: Loris
1942 – 2017
Winston Leroy Mishoe of Loris passed away Friday, Dec. 8 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence. He was 75.
Born May 14, 1942 in Loris, he was the son of the late Hermis Elmer Mishoe and the late Esther Mae Todd Mishoe. After graduating from Loris High School, Mr. Mishoe worked with Hardee Manufacturing from 1964 until 1987. In 1987 he became the owner and manager of the John Deere dealership in Loris until his retirement in 2013. Throughout his life he enjoyed farming, fishing, and he absolutely loved eating at Shorty’s Grill. He was a longtime active member of Lawndale Baptist Church where he dedicated much of his time to his duties as a deacon and choir director. He will be most remembered as a wonderful Christian husband, father, “Pa”, brother and “Boss” to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Linda Mills Mishoe of the home; two daughters, Renee Mishoe Ward of Loris, and Jodi Anderson and husband, David of Aynor; three grandchildren, Savannah Ward, Brady Anderson and Kyla Anderson; brother, Henry Wilson Mishoe and wife, Sandy of Conway, SC and two sisters, Eva Lee Thompson of Texas and Ila Mishoe of Loris.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11 at Lawndale Baptist Church with Reverend Larry Johnson and Pastor Lloyd Phipps officiating. Entombment followed at Twin City Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
