Elsie Soles Puckett Rhye: Tabor City

1934 – 2017

     Elsie Soles Puckett Rhye of Tabor City died Friday, Dec. 15, in her home. She was 83.

     Born Sept. 13, 1934 in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late Zeb and Alice Russ Soles and the widow of Curtis Rhye.

     She is survived by her three sons, Gary Puckett and Kent Puckett of Tabor City, and Tim Puckett of Garland, Texas; a sister, Alice Ann Price of Stanly; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

     In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by four brothers, Danny Soles, Johnny Soles, Douglas Soles and Jerry Soles; and a granddaughter, Nichole Puckett.

     Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 5, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, Tabor City, burial following in Soles Cemetery.

     Visitation was planned for the hour preceding the service in the chapel.
