Archie E. Spivey: Chadbourn

1948 – 2018

     Archie E. Spivey of Chadbourn died Monday, Jan. 22, in New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington.  He was 69.

     Born July 9, 1948 in Columbus County, he was the son of the late Archie Joffie Spivey and Norma Lee Spivey.

     He is survived by his wife, Donna Lewis Spivey of the home; four sons, Joe Spivey of Fairmont, Terry Spivey of Lumberton, John Spivey of Whiteville, and James Spivey of Ash; two daughters, Tammy Spivey  and Wendy Hamilton, both of Whiteville; two brothers, Paul Ray Spivey, Monroe Spivey, both of Whiteville; two sisters, Joyce Ward and Phyllis Prince, both of Whiteville; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Danny Wayne Spivey; and an infant brother.

     Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26, in Cedar Grove Baptist Church, Cerro Gordo, burial following in Wright Cemetery, Minos Meares Road, Tabor City.
